At Every, we moved from maintaining individual AI agents to improving one company agent together. Personal bots were fun to customize, but setup, security, and constant repairs made them hard to sustain. Willie Williams describes the shift: Put that effort into one agent the whole company can improve—and benefit from. Watch the full episode: https://lnkd.in/eF5PmkUb

Onboard new hires with your personal Wikipedia. Our COO, Brandon Gell, asked the Every Agent to turn our Slack history into a company wiki. It built Everypedia: team profiles, a clickable org chart, and notes on how to work with each person. Install Every in Slack: https://lnkd.in/ewJJyacz

How the Every Agent works: Tag @Every in any Slack channel, tell it what needs to get done, and it completes the task in the thread. It learns your company as it goes: When something isn’t right, you correct it in the thread, and it can save the correction for next time. Your Every Agent shows up ready to work: • Every’s workflows are built in. The skills we use to run Every come preinstalled, from Compound Engineering to Compound Writing. We add more all the time. • It connects to your tools. Connect Google Drive, Gmail, Notion, Figma, GitHub, HubSpot, and more than 1,000 other tools once, then choose which teammates can use each connection. Nobody has to rebuild your setup in their own Claude or Codex account. • It comes with Frontier Alerts. Whenever a new model drops, the Every Agent looks through your current tools and workflows and lets you know if the model is worth your attention. • It helps you spread your best experiments. When a workflow is worth repeating, you ask @Every to save it as a skill. From then on, anyone on the team can run it. The way your best person does something—including every correction they made to get it right—becomes something the whole company can do. If your personal agent died, would you miss it? Dan Shipper’s OpenClaw died when someone unplugged its Mac mini. He never restarted it because he’d already switched to Codex. Even people who enjoy tinkering can get tired of maintaining an agent once an easier option comes along. Watch the full episode: https://lnkd.in/ezY93HpD

Brandon Gell booked the speaker, but Every handled the paperwork. Steal this workflow: 1. Give the agent the approved agreement template and speaker details. 2. Have it prepare the document in Documenso, Inc.. 3. Ask for an explainer email with the signing link. 4. Review the document and the email. Sign before the message goes out. Your coworkers can’t learn an AI workflow if they only see the finished work. Dan Shipper built a copyediting skill from 30,000 historical edits. Then he installed it in a company agent that lives in Slack, where the team already works. Now anyone on the team can ask it for a copyedit. That’s the idea behind Every Agent, our AI coworker in Slack. Ask it to do a task in a channel, correct it in the thread, and save a useful workflow as a skill the rest of your team can run. Germans have a word for everything, and Katie Parrott stumbled across this gem: verschlimmbesserung, or “worsen-bettering.” It refers to our desire to make something better, only to make it worse. Used in a sentence: “Ich habe meinen Kontext verschlimmbessert,” or “I have worsen-bettered my context.” It’s the perfect word to describe Katie’s writing setup, which has gotten worse every time she asks it to improve. Her agents gave conflicting editing advice, akin to too many cooks in the kitchen. One essay’s folder grew to 862 files and more than 1 million words. The culprits were bloated style.md and voice.md that accumulated all of her past requests. Katie decided it was worth an audit and a do-over. She started over with 4 steps: 1. Interview: Have the model ask what you need from your setup and what’s getting in the way. 2. Audit: Ask it to review the files against those answers. 3. Propose: Work through a new structure until you understand how it works. 4. Execute: Let the agent make changes only after you approve them. Her voice and style guides went from 6,109 words to 513. She also made one hard rule: Drafts, notes, and reviews are material for her AI to consult, never new instructions. A correction to one paragraph stays a correction to one paragraph. Read Katie’s account of “worsen-bettering” her context and how you could improve your system without overloading it: https://lnkd.in/eXXhsdJK

Dan Shipper used an OpenAI Dot to keep up with work without getting pulled into Slack all weekend. He posted his model-testing results, and the Dot alerted him when teammates replied. He could follow what the team was thinking without getting sucked into the rabbit hole of channels and messages. Watch the full episode: https://lnkd.in/esHfVzHY

We don’t condone stealing, but you should definitely steal your colleague’s skills. Brandon Gell turned a motion-design process into a skill. Becky Isjwara thought it was cool and used it to make this video. Install Every in Slack: https://lnkd.in/eWH3AtY2
